Roof Doctors has worked as a waterproofing contractor in Singapore for more than 15 years. We are BizSafe and BCA-registered (ROC 201132164H), and our own crews carry out the work. Our clients include homeowners, MCSTs and building owners. Below are the leaks we fix and the methods we use. The last section explains how a job runs. For a room-by-room overview first, read our home water leakage solution guide or see our water leakage repair service.
Leaks we fix
Roof leaks
Tiled roofs, metal roofs and flat concrete roofs all leak in different ways. We repair the roof covering and the waterproofing under it. See roof leakage repair, roof tile repair and RC roof and gutter slab waterproofing.
Ceiling leaks
A stain on the ceiling can come from the roof, the bathroom above or a hidden pipe. Our ceiling leakage repair service finds the source before any repair starts.
Wall seepage
Damp walls, peeling paint and white salt marks point to water inside the wall. Our wall leakage repair team treats the cause, whether it is an external crack or a leaking wet area.
Toilet and bathroom leaks
Most bathroom leaks come from cracked grout, a worn membrane or the floor trap. How to repair toilet leakage explains the options, and grouting and PU injection often fixes them without hacking.
Spalling concrete
Long-running leaks rust the steel inside concrete slabs. Our concrete repair service treats the rebar and rebuilds the concrete.

Signs you need a waterproofing contractor
- A stain on the ceiling that grows after every heavy rain
- Paint that bubbles or peels on the same wall year after year
- Water pooling on a flat roof or balcony a day after rain
- A neighbour below reporting a leak under your bathroom
- Flaking concrete or rust stains on a ceiling
Each of these means water is getting into the structure. Repainting or patching the surface hides the sign for a while, and the leak carries on behind it.
Waterproofing methods we use
| Method | Where we use it |
|---|---|
| PU injection | Active leaks through cracks in slabs, walls and basements |
| Torch-on membrane | Large exposed RC flat roofs |
| Liquid-applied membrane | Flat roofs and roof terraces with pipes, drains and upstands |
| Cementitious waterproofing | Gutters, planter boxes, water tanks and wet areas |
| Epoxy coating and epoxy grout | Bathroom floors, kitchens and areas that see constant water |
| Roof tile coating | Sound concrete tile roofs that have started to absorb water |
We choose the method after the inspection. The same leak can need a different system on a condo podium than on a landed flat roof.
Who we work with
Homeowners call us for leaks inside their own flats and houses. MCSTs and managing agents bring us in for common property such as podium decks and facades. Factory and warehouse owners use us for metal roofs and concrete floors. The inspection and the written quote work the same way for all of them.
How a job runs
- Free inspection. We trace the leak with moisture meters and, where needed, a controlled water test.
- Written findings and quote. You see the cause, the method we recommend and the price before you commit.
- Repair. Our crews do the work and keep you updated with photos.
- Water test. We test the repaired area before we hand it back.
- Workmanship warranty. You get the warranty terms in writing.
Choosing a waterproofing contractor
Check that the contractor is registered and insured. A quote that names a method without naming the cause is a warning sign. Our article on what to look for when choosing a waterproofing specialist covers the questions to ask.
Before you sign, ask these four questions:
- What is causing the leak, and how did you find it?
- Which waterproofing system will you use, and why that one?
- Who does the work, your own crew or a subcontractor?
- What does the warranty cover, and for how long?
A contractor who answers all four in writing has done a proper inspection. Vague answers usually lead to a repeat repair.
Frequently asked questions
Do you work on HDB flats, condos and landed homes?
Yes. We also take on commercial and industrial buildings across Singapore.
Is the inspection free?
Yes. The first on-site inspection and the written quote are free, with no obligation.
How much does waterproofing cost?
It depends on what is causing the leak and how much area needs treating. For wall jobs, our wall seepage repair cost guide gives indicative ranges. Every other job gets a written quote after the inspection.
Do you give a warranty?
Every job comes with a workmanship warranty, stated in writing with your quote.
How long does a waterproofing job take?
A small repair such as PU injection or re-grouting often takes a day. Re-waterproofing a bathroom or a flat roof takes several days, because each layer needs time to cure. Your quote states the timeline.
